Russian Tea Cookies, aka (Great) Grandma Sylvia's "Nut Balls"

                     
  Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

  1              pound  butter
     3/4           cup  granulated sugar
  4          teaspoons  vanilla
  4               cups  flour, all-purpose -- sifted
  4               cups  pecans -- ground

Mix margarine, sugar, and vanilla together until light and fluffy.  Add flour and pecans.  Mix until well blended.  Chill dough.  Roll into small balls and bake at 375F on ungreased or lightly greased sheets for 10-12 minutes.  Roll in powdered sugar while still warm and again when cool.
