OVEN CARAMEL CORN

Syrup:
                        2 C. brown sugar
                        1/ 2 C. white, karo syrup
                        1 C. oleo
                        1/ 2 tsp. salt
Combine in a heavy sauce pan and cook, boiling 5 minutes.  Remove from heat.

Add:
                        1 tsp. soda
                        1 tsp. vanilla

Pour over 7 1/ 2 qts. Popped corn and mix well.

Spread on large cookie sheet or large roaster and bake at 200 for 1 hour.  Stir every 15 minutes.  Add nuts if desired.  Store airtight.
